I am also a chicken newbie, and thought I had purchased Aracauna's, then determined they were actually Ameracauna's - only to find out they're easter eggers!

Thank you so much for the link. Glad i'm not the only confused one and you are so right, we love them no matter what they are. They are so dang cute and our blue heeler thinks they're her puppies.
