Went to the chicken auction tonight.
Guy was selling out everything.
I got his Hovabator ( older model but seems to work good) for 15 bucks.

Plugged in right now and coming up to temp.

Congrats Mikeeee. I got me a meat thermometer from WallMart and use it in the top of mine and the point reaches the top of the eggs. I can see the temp from the outside that way.

My Araucana bantam is not far off from laying.
But my RIRs are only 3 weeks old. It will be quite some time before they are dropping eggs.

I can get some mutt eggs from my neighbor. I think thats what I'm gonna try 1st.
