So I was at my friends house and he had a batch of chicks. He said something ate ALL his chicks - except ONE.
This is similar to what happened to us...
anyway, he gave us the chick, because he didn't know what to do with it.
We have some chicks (2 mothers, 10 chicks total [4 w/ one mother, 6 w/ the other])
The chick is a golden laced wyandotte, and it's a few weeks younger than our current 10 chicks.
One of the mothers says "NO WAY" to him joining her "flock", but the other mother doesn't seem bothered by him.
Should I try to sneak him under one of the moms at night?
The other chicks are not a big fan of the newcomer, though..
What should I do?

Thanks in advance for any responses :)

Right now it started DOWNPOURING HARD so I took him inside. He's in an (open) drawer lined with paper towels and seems to be doing fine. He's just sleeping on the paper towels, and he's attached to me now.

He barely chirps. I don't know what I should do.
Should I attempt to make him a "house" chicken?

And forgot to mention-
the closest chicks we have to his age are more than triple his size. they don't like him. at all.

is it a good Idea to put him with one of the mothers at night?

Personally, I wouldn’t put him with the others. If possible, I’d go and buy 1-2 more chicks his age, and raise them separate from the rest of the flock until they’re big enough to be introduced.
I was trying to do that, but TSC only lets a minimum of 6 chicks, but I don't need 6 more.

I posted an ad on craigslist, though, looking for 1 or 2 more friends around his age/size.

That's a good idea. You could also try talking to some friends who have chickens as well... when I need more chicks, but a minimum order is too large, I raise them all until they're about a year old, then sell the extra pullets. You can make a decent profit doing that, so long as you know you have people you can sell them to.

Maybe get a few his size if you can? I had a lonely Serama (only one to hatch) and picked up two Wyandotte bantams to be his buddies. The other chicks that came with are standard sized, so far too big to be in with a tiny Serama.
You can integrate them when they're a bit bigger that way, and he won't be lonely. Best of luck :love

Just saw your response for TSC - I hope you can find a few littles for him to hang out with!

But I don't have space for even RAISING any extra birds lol so I wouldn't be able to raise then sell.
