I have a male chinese goose, and his head lump is much bigger than yours, but he's older too. Female head bumps usually are a tiny bit higher than their head level, and male head bumps are like an inch higher. I saw one at the fair that actually drooped over!

Then nob on his bill took my African goose took all of spring and most of summer to develop. He is very handsome and a leader of the flock. We ordered eggs from a breeder on ebay and hatched them ourselves.
