I got a Mandarin Duck

Hi,
I got a mandarin duck yesterday at a poultry show. I was wondering if any of you have mandarins and what you can tell me. I have done tons of research but I know that you can never know too much. It is a drake and I would love to find him a girl.

You will prob have till spring to find a hen. I have a hen and am looking for a drake.

She is a very flighty bird and stays in the water 90% of the time, I currently have her in with my muscovy ducks and they just leave each other alone. They do have to have a special nest box to lay in, I feed mine a mixture of gamebird feeds. Congrats on your new addition, they are beautiful birds.

The main thing is keep wherever he is covered or he will be GONE!!! They are very flighty and will leave in a moments notice.
