What kind of bottle are you using?

Well, I started with the pritchard, but I can never get the holes small enough so that the milk doesn't just come squirting out on its own; then I tried the stiff black ones that I use on my lambs...that didn't work; then today I tried a regular baby bottle and that started to work, but not really enough. I went thru this with my Nigerian and he'd scream and fuss, but he finally accepted it.

I was gonna say that I had the best luck with the baby bottle. It took awhile to get the hole right. I had to constantly adjust it. But once it was flowing out as I tipped the bottle that seemed to work for mine.

I feel sort of bad for my little guy because I seem to be prying his little mouth open to try to get the darn bottle in.

once he realizes whats going on it will be a lot easier. After 2 or 3 days Billy was rushing me for the bottle. The most trouble I had with him was getting him to take his water from a bucket.

Well, I sure hope he catches on soon because my sweet little baby who was melting in my arms whenever I picked him up is now struggling to get away from me and the dreaded bottle that awaits his lap time.

These are my favorite bottle-feeding nipples . We've tried quite a few different kinds, but these never get rejected. There's no hole-cutting or adjustment to do, and no ball-valve to leak...they just pop right on the end of a 20oz soda bottle and you're in business.

BTW...Coca-cola products (around here, anyway) are crap for bottle feeding now.. They have the short little "half cap" thing, so there aren't enough threads.. Pepsi's bottles are becoming pretty flimsy too, though..

For those of you in Kentucky or surrounding areas -- ALE-8-ONE bottles are shizzdiggity for bottlefeeding. They still use the full-size cap and they haven't yet embarked on what's probably an inevitable quest to make the thinnest-walled soda bottle known to man in order to save that $.0000001 per bottle on plastic.
