I have a LG incubator that has been holding temps well. It has been around 100-101.5. I bought a PC fan yesterday and wired it up and stuck in there (I was planning on putting the eggs in there tonight). I went and checked on the bator and... Are you ready for this all 3 of my thermometers said.... 138.8 degrees

. Why is it so high? It was just fine without the fan in it. I just don't get it. So I dont think that I will be using a fan in that incubator.

The fan motor is probably creating the heat. You will probably have to take the fan out if it's making that much heat. I don't think you could turn it down enough to make a difference.

You could also try hooking it up to a lower volt adapter, that would make it run slower, thus decreasing the heat output..
