Good morning everyone!
I went this morning with the usual feeding and giving extra treats - I keep a stash in the coop of nuts, sweets from Christmas that expired, crushed egg shells. Sometimes I give them cooked bones with some meat as I can't give to dogs cooked bones. Their usual feed is cracked corn with DDG and treats vary. I have been watching them grow bigger every day and I noticed them being noisier and cackling a lot, and then yesterday, I noticed that there are 2 RIRs that have redder and bigger crowns and wattles. I thought they would give me eggs in February, but today, I got one egg! It was in one corner and not in their box which has hay and it was pretty clean. I will go back sometime this afternoon to give them extra meat treats-- these are table scraps that I collected and boiled to soften and give them more protein. Thank you all for your welcome and great comments!
