I got me some baby chicks...what are they? *warning..cute pix*!

Jenn - Aren't they sweet teeny penguins?!!!

After seeing these pictures, I'm even more confused about what i have!!! The other girls are a little bigger than Maria, so it's hard to tell if they are different looking because they are older or because they aren't the same kind of chicken. The big girls are getting the golden feathers on their necks and their feathers overall seem like a dark brown/black, not pure black. Little Maria isn't even a little brown!

Keep me posted, I can't wait to see what yours ends up looking like!

I got some chicks from a woman who said they were sex links, BR and EEs... and one of them turned out just like that black one with the yellow/white under the chin. So I'd say black sex link... buuuut... I also have two white fluffy ones in the mix and I have NO CLUE what they would be, lol.

They look like Cornish X to me. At my TSC's (two near by) the only yellow ones they had were Cornish X. Watch and see if they grow faster than the others. If they are Cornish X then you need to make sure you take your feed from them at night. 12 hrs with food 12 without. Because they grow so fast I learned that they can actually have a heart attack.

Here are some pics of mine. They are much more yellow the flash makes them look more white. As you can see they are much larger than the others. But some are bantams.
