So we went a little out of order, and got 7 chickens this weekend!! On Saturday, we purchased 4 chickens at OK Feed and Supply 2 silkies that are abut a month old, and 2 Barred rocks that are , and began building the walls of the chickens coop. We taught our dog that chickens are NOT food, or toys, or playthings, or even sheep (she is a healer, so naturally she likes to herd them). I worked until 11:00 that night building the coop, and it was almost finished.

The next morning I wake up, to go and check on my chickens. They all survived the night in our makeshift metal baby gate coop, they were all cuddled in a corner next to the feed we had purchased. I went back out to help my dad finish building the nesting boxes, the 2 doors, and the ramp for the chickens to climb into the inside section, and we discovered we needed more wood. So we dropped my brothers off at the bowling alley to hag out with their friend, and went to Lowes to get the rest of the lumber. In the meantime, my mom had called ACE and asked if they had chicken supplies, and chickens. They did! so we headed over to buy more feed, feeders, and waterers, and there were 3 baby chickens in the cage, 2 barred rocks, and a Speckled sussex. they were $5.00 each, and they were buy 2 get one free. I couldnt just leave the Speckled sussex there, she was so cute!! but I couldn't split up the twin Barred Rocks chicks either, even to conform to my 6 chicken budget, so we decided to take all three of the babies home.

All of the chickens names from oldest to youngest are

- Pullito
- Go-Pro
- Yukon
- Nugget
- Reeba
- Finn
&
- Quinn.

Unfortunatley, Finn got her neck caught in the cut mesh around the inside of the makeshift coop trying to get around it so she could get out (the babies can fit through the bars of the baby gate) and ripped the skin from the base of her neck to her chin.We have cleaned her cut, wrapped it for an hour, unwrapped it, placed her in a separate box from the other chicks, as they will peck at her wound, gave her a small bowl of feed, and a small bowl of water, and a comfty soft cloth to sleep on. She was alive and peeping around when I left for school this morning, and I hope she is still so when I get home from school today. She is one of the calmer chicks, and shes really grown on me in the past day and a half. they all have actually. Chickens are addicting. I was warned. I didnt believe them, but it happened. I am a victim of the chicken lovers.

This little scragglamuffin is Nugget. She is Timid but very cuddly as long as you dont make her feel enclosed.
This sweet little White silkie is named Yukon. She is so sweet!

Pullito and Nugget on my brothers Lap.

My Favorite, and Most Friendly Chicken, Pullito, or as ive been also reffering to her as, Mama Pullito, and Pullito Mama.

From Top To Bottom: Quinn, Reeba, Finn.
