I got my first Button Quail egg today!

Here is a pic of it next to a nickel for size comparison. Very tiny, but big for such a small bird.

What type of button quail? I've never seen a brown button quail egg before.

Just button quail is all I know. I got eggs from jkcove08 and wyldehorses. I think buttons can lay lots of different colored eggs.

How cute!!! My little eggs in the bator are brown too, some off-white and speckled but mainly brown. I can hardly wait until they hatch. My Japanese laid their first eggs at 6 weeks and they were all fertile. How old is your Button that is laying?

Thanks everyone. They will be 8 weeks old on Sunday. I was very excited. I just noticed this week that the boys were doing the mating dance and fighting a bit. So I figured they were getting close.
