Today I came home from working out and saw the the nesting box was a little brown egg!!! The hens are almost 16 weeks old, she laid really early, I was really surprised. Now that I got my first egg does she start the cycle of every 25/26 hours of laying one or will it be a few days until the next egg??
It could go either way, often if they lay an egg really early like that it is a few days or more until the next one... but the more commercial breeds (like sex links, leghorns etc) that you expect to lay a lot of eggs often do start laying on a regular schedule fast.
