I got my first incubator *PICS*

You've got yourself a Hova Bator 1602N incubator. I have one except I don't have the fan on mine. I just upgraded to a Hova Bator Genesis 1588 so the 1602N is retired! LOL I hope you have many good hatches with yours!

Both of those incubators posted is the 1602N model. I have the exact one! Just disinfect it with bleach really well and wipe it down with a rag. You can pop out the windows with a butter knife or something and scrub them clean. Clock-wise turns it cooler and counter-clock wise turns it hotter. It can be very sensitive so just turn it a little wee bit. After you get it cleaned up plug it in and keep it running for about three days to make sure it's running properly and the temps are holding steady. Nice find & good luck!!

I was wondering how long to let it run 3 days OK Thanks and what temp do eggs need to be at to hatch?mine went up to 108 TO HOT then i turned it down and it went maybe 105 this is gunna be hard

I don't know about CacklingHen, but mine has a fan on it, so I assume I am running forced air.

I know the temp for forced air is 99.5, just in case CacklingHen does not have forced air, what is the temp for still air?

Is there a "safe range" we can operate at? I have heard that it is better to run a little hotter than colder?

I know there is a sticky on this topic for incubating, I have read it at least 3 times, and I will probably read it another 10 while I play. Please forgive my newbie questions... hands on is so much different than just reading..

Good deal! That should provide some clarification.

I was hoping you had a fan like I did. It was easy to see under the top. Of course, I don't know if mine will work yet, won't plug it in until Friday night because I want to be home if this catches fire
