I got my first two eggs today!

    well, one day after here and commenting in another thread on my hens, I came home tonight to not one, but TWO baby eggs! One green, from one of our EEs, and one brown, from one of our Black Sex Links. All the hens are raised from day olds and are right at 21 wks now!

    Both are tiny, but solid!

    Pictures in the "first egg" thread momentarily.
    I can't wait to get more... it's made it worth it!

    We could be getting up to 3 doz a week when they are at peak (probably will be much less with the cooler/darker days).

    Im still waiting too but after reading the thread on dom hens crowing and stopping their egg laying, I realize that I have to convince Chickie she is a hen and get her to stop that cock a doodle doing if I am ever to see any eggs from her.
