I got my new babies today!!!

my chicks came today!

all alive and seem to be doing well!

practically attacking the water and feeder


my order was for all pullets:
5 BO, 5 BR, 5 BJG, 5 WLH, 5 GLW

I got two little packing peanuts:
an extra BO and BR!! couldn't have been a better choice imo!! I certainly wouldn't be upset if they were roos

I am super eggcited! and I think I finally have my chick fix for now

I put my bantam babies in with them because they are about 2 weeks old and are the same size just about lol. so they are all mingling together for now. but we are going to be moving them to the brooder that has more room for them, today. but I do watch them snuggle with each other if they aren't close enough to the light. they are too cute! I was really suprised at how small the Giants are as chicks. I would have thought they were larger.

by far the BO's don't mind being held. I am so glad I decided to order from a hatchery and not get the ones that I thought might be BO's at TSC, because I would have been wrong, then would have had more darn RSL.

I really like the diversity though. these are all going to look pretty too!

oh and, as for my chick fix, I am good for at least half the summer lol, until they all grow up and go into the coop
