I bought 15 new chickens yesterday! Most are golden sexlinks with some EE mixes. I already had 3 hens that are laying along with 11 three month olds. I got back after dark with the new ones and put them in the coop.
This morning there was very little argueing. I let them out to range with the others. I've read you should keep them up for a few days but I hoped they would follow the lead of the others. At the old place, they didn't have proper laying boxes but had no problem using mine. I was very happy about that!
I did notice there was some more room on the roosts so I think I'm going to try to find some laying EEs. I really like those colored eggs!
