Hope they're a boy and girl.....first parakeets I got turned out being two boys, who were fun, but, ya know. Not as much fun I guess.

Are you planning on letting them fly at all? Mine are never caged up for long, and wander the living room as they please, tweeting up a storm. They never seem to go farther than the living room though, except on accident.

thanks i dont think i could let them fly cause of the dogs but maybe in my sisters old room

Cage looks a bit small there but with enough free flying time it should be fine. My three do laps around the room for an hour every evening. Silly things. Their cage is about 14x22x33 inches, but get to do laps around a 24x20 foot room. When they got their flight back after their initial trim, it took them about a month to get enough conditioning to do an hour of laps. At first they were weak in their conditioning and could only do half a loop, and it was a half loop slowly to the ground where you'd have to go fetch them. Now they can free fly they are so much spunkier!
