the mail order orps are a week and a half. i threw in a bug from the yard and they are hunting already, very impressive for babies. we're trying to handle them so theyll be tame. the wife actually changed the shredded newspaper yesterday, wow. i'm not being real serious with the heat. as long as they are spread out in the tub lounging instead of huddling or staying away from the light to cool down i believe that is ok. the petco thermometer is garbage. just saying hi, thanks.

85* the first week and the second week 80* and the third week 75* and so on by 5* until they are fully protected by feathers. We are in October and they will need to completely feathered to put out by the 6th or 7th week depending on how long you can take it.

You might want to shift over to wood shavings. Not cedar. You also might want to get a tub of sand and add some (food grade) DE to the sand.
