I got rid of my cockerel

I got rid of my cockerel and I could not be happier!! I did not like him and he did not like me. I sold him yesterday for $10. Best $10 I’ve ever made!! He loved to try and attack me whenever I was in the coop and I had to keep my eyes on him at all times. I told the buyers that he was a bit aggressive and they didn’t care. Oh I am so happy! It’s so peaceful now and I think my pullets are enjoying that he is gone also. There was a few of them that had bare spots on their backs because he was aggressive with them too. Oh well, they can now heal in peace because he is gone!

The first rooster I had was mean, and I had to find him a new home. It was so nice to be able to go in the coop and not have to worry about him sneaking an attack on me! I am glad you were able to sell your cockerel.

Me too. I have 4 chicks in the basement and I am hoping to hatch a few more and hopefully one of them will be a nice little rooster

Ive got 9 extra cockerels waiting to be butchered. They are huge and eating me out of house and home. Unfortunately, time is not on my side, but their day will come.
