I got six baby chicks (pullets), but I don't know alot about chickens and have no idea what kind I got!
They are 5 or 6 weeks now (I think). The only one I have a guess on is #5 and I assume she is a Rhode Island Red, but not even sure about that. Any guess you might have would be cool to hear.
Also I was wondering If what they look like now is a pretty good idea of what they will look like as adults or if they are still changeing??
These are pics that I have, if I should take better pics please let me know and I will get them posted.

Looks like you have several Easter Eggers, look for the puffy cheeks on them, you will be getting some green eggs in a few months. The red is not a RIR it is probably a Golden Comet.

Ah, looks like you got the rainbow layer assortment. I would guess #1, 2, and 3 are americaunas, #4 red sex link of some sort, #5 production type Rhode Island Red, and #5 black Australorp.

My guesses would be
1. EE possibly a splash?
2. EE beautiful green legs
3. EE also Beautiful green legs
4. Production Red
5. RIR
6. Astrolorp or Black sexlink

Thanks for the fast replies, I have been pretty excited watching them grow and they havn't dissapointed me.

I also have 4 adults, but have no pics ATM. I know one is a RIR and one a barred rock. I will have a flock of 10 and only my new RIR and old RIR will be similar looking!

I didn't have any easter egg chickens, but really would have liked to have one. I bought these with no idea what they would be, A good part of the reason I got these chicks is because I think chickens are beutiful birds and of course eggs.

Are the "splash" and "beutiful green legs" a specific breed?

splash is a color I think, white with freckles splashes of other colors mixed in, please correct me anyone if I'm wrong.......
the green legs I see mostly on easter eggers, if it's a trait of other birds I do not know, I'm fairly new to chickens at least interested in raising them anyway, I have been around them all my life, but have learned and researched a lot on this wonderful site, since January of this year, got my own first chicks on march 25th, my order was screwed up so did a lot more looking at pictures than I originally intended too to find out what birds I have lol..crazy chickens, but I love them all any breed except maybe the turkens are a bit ugly for me. but I wouldn't throw them away if someone gave me some.

Thanks you. I had originally had them in a plastic tote, but after a couple of days my girlfreind decided that she wanted them to have more room. So of course I immediatly made accommodations, I used what I had handy and it has worked very well.
This was only meant as a Temp. chicken coop, but my little sister got a bunny and has asked if she can have this cage for her bunny when the chicks go outside.
Sorry I need to sweep up around it, they kick stuff everywhere. They should be headed out before to long though.
