JENLYN9483 I have four very handsome buff orpington cockerels they are just over 25 weels. They aren't quite fthat ig ut they are still growing lol I would be very happy to trade a hen for a rooster I live in Perry so it wouldnt be to hard to meet up if you want to see pics, pm me. Yes, we were told they were hens. I kind of thought the neck feathers were a bit pointy and the combs kind of large. They are awfully sweet though.

My neighbors have BR and RIR and they are about HALF the size of the Orps. I would like to get some hens the same size as the Orps. I guess they don't have to be orps. We could keep one Orp roo and let him breed with whatever. I just want them to be large like them. I think I'll post another thread and ask about that.

Christy I saw some Wyanndottes at the Inverness show that were as large if not larger than the Orps. I thought mine were big too but compared to them they were average.lol Check them out If you want big birds I think the combo would be awesome.

I'm not sure who told you they were hens, b/c oldtimegator was telling everyone that they were roos. Maybe someone else mistakenly thought they were hens w/o asking? She definitely told me they were boys as soon as I saw them.

Hmmm, maybe she was desperate to get rid of them, because she told me they didn't crow for her that she thought they might be hens.

They looked kind of roosterly to me.

As of yesterday they are crowing and today molesting everything in sight. I managed to wrangle up a BR and a RIR and put it in there and I feel SOOOOO guilty. They are trying like crazy to get away from the sex crazed roosters. But my silkie is greatful.
