I have some A&M's in lockdown right now at what day did yours start hatching. I was told by the breeder day 16 but other's on here said that was wrong they hatch on day 18? These are our first quail I ordered the egg's from pigeonjim here in the want ad's. Any tips would be mutch appreciated I'm so nervous I can't stop checking on the incubator....

For the most part I ended up with 29, one died but he was very tiny and weak. GOD THEY ARE SO FREEKING CUTE I just want to stare at them all day..

So tiny and so cute! I can't wait to set some eggs in a couple of weeks when I am completly ready for such tiny chicks.

I believe shipping is an art form. Some are just naturally good it, some even after years of lessons and practice just suck at it! LOL.

Basically when it comes to shipping I like the golden rule approach--- I wont ship eggs to anyone unless they're packed the way I'd like to receive eggs... Sure i could get those cheap lil plastic clam shell things out there and just chuck 10 eggs in each 1, seal it and tape all the sealed clam shell packs togather--- But i dont, and wont. Why? because they suck! the eggs are either too tight or too loose and there's ZERO padding. Its a recipe for disaster. The fancy cardboard/ paper machet' trays--- not much better...

I not only sell and ship eggs, I buy them and have them shipped to me as well, usually rare and hard to get eggs that are very expensive... Nothing worse than being handed a priority mail box with that all too familiar dried up water stain looking spot on the sides or bottom..... You just know its a sign of bad things. And furthermore, stop blaming the usps for broken eggs. Yes they do break more eggs than a waffle house short order cook, but that number would be greatly cut down if the eggs were packed correctly to start with. Granted theres always going to be the box that looks like it was shipped under a refrigerator for the entire ride.... Those do land squarely on usps. But everyday run of the mill no serious damage to the boxes broken eggs--- uh huh, no way. If you pack them as if you know your handing them over to the American Tourister Guerilla ( the standard postal worker in this case...) then a great many of these incidents are avoided.
