I got sprayed by a skunk!

That has to be a bummer, I bet you were shocked when it happened. I have never even seen a live skunk only dead on the road(and boy did they stink). Hope you get the smell off.

My grandmother always bathed Keno with tomato juice when he'd get sprayed by a skunk.

Isn't it funny...I actually enjoy ***mild*** skunk...it reminds me of when I was a kid tromping around in the woods at my grandmothers.

Hope you can soon stand yourself and the dogs!

My hubby got sprayed by a skunk one time and he had to bathe in Tomato juice several times and he also had to burn the clothes. Sorry this happened, next time let the dog take it for ya.

My old girlfriend came home one night about 11pm and walked into the house and said “my car stinks!!” I took of whiff of her and told her she stunk too! Maybe that was why she was the “old girlfriend.” But she did smell like skunk. Anyway, she said she hit one on her way home. OK, lets get the hose out and wash it off. I had some skunk-b-gone stuff I could use. I sprayed it off and went to bed. I got up the next morning and let the dog out. The odor o skunk was still very strong!! She drove her car to work that day and the scent waned soon after she left. OK, must be I didn’t get all the scent off.

That night I crawled under it and was going to spray off the rest. I looked and here’s the dead skunk caught in the emergency brake cable!!!!!

I used the baking soda/peroxide/dish soap recipe too. It works wonders. Poor Freddie took the face hit. His head still smells a bit and I sure it will for a while. Pooh and I, well I think we have the aroma beat.

I washed Freddie in the bathtub, luckily he likes water and just stepped in. I did have to buy a new showercurtain liner, couldnt get the smell out of it. The entry still stinks and so does the grainery.

this is weird but it does work. When you get sprayed, bury your clothes for 24hrs. Doesnt have to be deep, just put a shovel or two of dirt on them. 24hrs later the smell is gone! Wash & wear..

I use Dr. Bronner peppermint soap (from the healthfood store) in the shower. I also use it to soak clothing that is too stinky from sweat, mold, etc. I told my BFF this. She bought some & lo & behold - hubby and dog get skunked the next day. She washed the dog, hubby's coat and hubby with the soap. Skunk was gone! 100%
