Her mama is a simmental mix! Her dad I'm less clear on, it 'should' be my dad's Braford bull, I don't have a bull of my own. I lost my calender that I kept my livestock records on. I was 'pretty sure' she was w/ the bull for around 3 months (I was thinking May-August maybe, and from pics I know she was definately there in May), then I pulled her out and send my jersey. The jersey calved about 2 months ago, I was pretty sure Panda was open. Sooo, am I wrong? Or? My mom had a bull calf, but I can't remember for sure when she sold him, he'd have been 8 months old when Panda was bred. It's very possible I'm just crazy, and she was there alot longer then I thought. If my dad's bull is the dad this would be her full sister from last year,
I don't think they look alike, but then again my heifer Brat's new sister doesn't look anything like her!
Here is the bull calf, at nearly 2 months old (I think I have older pics somewhere, but couldn't find them),
They'd be related either way, Dad's bull is this calf's dad.
So who knows, I was just so happy to find out she wasn't open after all, I needed something good to happen right now!
1MrsMagoo you'll definately have to post pics when your baby gets here, baby watch and be so tiring, but so rewarding to! Especially if you get what you want! What breed is Maybell? Are you hoping for a bull or heifer?
