after being off all summer. Anybody feel sorry for me? I had an great summer with my chicks. But, somebody has to take those kids to school.

OMG! I know, but my kids are pretty good and we have cameras on our buses that have really good video and audio. I never had to check mine, but many do and the results are usually for the driver and not the sweet child that never does nothing wrong. The proof is what the camera sees and hears.
 
Yes, I feel sorry for you too... I'm a teacher too! I always know I'm ready to go back when I start dreaming "school" dreams. Do you do that too? This year I'm going to incubate eggs with my first graders!! I'm so excited. My unit is already half written. I found some cool directions to candle the eggs on the overhead projector!

I sympathize, because it's a tough job. But I think, given the economy, the title might be better as 'I GET to go back to work tomorrow...."!

I'd love to have a job again!

My hubby retired from teaching and we both say that bus drivers are way underpaid.

You have the responsibility of the safety of all those children and I sooo respect that you can do it and maintain your sanity.

Yes, we are underpaid, but it pays my bills. We are also in a union or we would really be underpaid and as it is, we have few benifits, no medical or anything.
 
I agree! How you hold on to your sanity is a complete mystery to me. Loads of patience and compassion must be a good starting point.
