I got two buff orpingtons as hens and i am about to get two barred rocks.The hens have not laid and im thinking maybe one or both may be roosters.

Probably had too many roosters but just in case, inspect close to their skin for little white mites.

The hens will lay once the settle in. It also depends on age. The older they are, the less frequent they lay.
She did mention having too many roosters. One of the buffs looks older than the other, but we will see! I am pretty new to the chicken world, but they are SO sweet. 😋
 
No worries about roosters, they are all females. Stress will stop laying. They've been caged, hauled, and are now in totally new surrounding with new sights, sounds and possibly neighbors. It can take anywhere from a few days to a few months for them to get back to regular laying.
