Yes, I used to have a hen who would do that all the time, she was a barred rock. She is no longer with me, but she was quite a character!

Well, we had an orphan (single) pullet that DID NOT want to go to the coop by herself at night. She'd come to the back porch screen door and scratch /coo until we "put her to bed". Poor baby.... we got her some companions pretty quickly after a few nights of that. She even came onto the porch to the back glass door like she expected to come in and watch TV with us one evening when the screen door blew open! Check our Airehead012's avatar, that's the chick.
