I had this little anomaly hatch today…

Never in all my years of breeding have I ever had a partridge (chipmunk pattern) hatch from BBS. I don’t have any other colors in my pen, just 1 blue roo, 1 blue hen, 1 black hen and 2 splash hens. They have never produced any other colors, except BBS in prior hatches.

All I can figure is maybe my black hen had a split somewhere in her ancestry line and she just threw a random partridge???

I'd think for it to show one hen and your rooster carries partridge.
