i had to trade chickens

so on saturday, my two ladies in black started to crow.. turns out they are MEN in black! so we sent them back to the farm they came from where they will be happily cared for. and we traded them for a beautiful blue cochin hen. we named her Oishii Buru ( which is japanese for delicious blue) she is so far the grumpiest hen i have ever met but she is learning her name and slowly warming up to me and her new "sister"

she sure is a pretty girl though!

thank you! she has acclimated very nicely, she tails her "sister" eggy everywhere and is adjusting to getting petted regularly (she bites but its less and less of a bite each day because i will just keep petting to get the point across) and she relly seems to enjoy getting picked up. now if she can just get used to the cats everything will be great
