I hatched my first chicks 😁

Well, my chicks arrived!

I gave my rooster away after I collected these eggs. He was an Easter egger.
Kinda wish I had kept him now!

My hens are Easter egger, barred rock, a golden and a silver laced Wyandotte, an isa brown, and one black chicken which was supposed to be some fancy all black breed but clearly is not .

So if I read correctly these will be blue and olive eggers?

Out of 19 eggs I got
14 hatched
2 died hatching
1 did not develop fully
2 were infertile.

I think that’s pretty great for my first attempt!

Eeek!! So exciting! Congrats on your babies! I’m on day 21 with my little ones and this is my first time doing it as well. They have started pipping and I cannot contain my excitement Your little chickies are adorable.

Mine actually stated to pipe on day 19 and hatched on 20 which was kinda crazy! Today would have been day 21.

They were eager little fluffy butts I’m anxious and a nervous wreck but every time I hear cheeping I start giggling like a crazy person

Oh my goodness, how precious! The coloring/patterns on the chicks are lovely. Would love to see updates on your chick's! I'm curious what they will look like feathered out
