when do you know hen is ready to hatch I have had 2 hens peck me when I took there eggs so I tried to get them to hatch one wouldnt sit and the other one started eating the eggs so when do you know they are ready last in august I had 2 hens hatch do I have to wait till august.

Not all hens will be good setters. Give one some "fake" eggs and see how it goes. If she stays dedicated to golf balls or plastic eggs, you may have potential there. Good luck.
