I hate bubble wrap

Like in a early post, shipping eggs for over 3 years, not one egg broken.

I feel so good about my packing I guarantee they will receive the eggs unbroken.

I have shipped with bubble wrap in the past, if you do use the large bubble, those small bubbles just dont protect the egg.

So many reason shipped eggs dont hatch, some eggs do better than others, Guineas, pheasant,quail, do better than 50%

Peafowl,turkey, lucky to get 50% Of course these are harder to hatch anyway.

Think main thing is keep eggs away from the sides,top, and bottom.

My point is that I'm reading so many posts about eggs that have been shipped and don't hatch. It only seems reasonable to assume many don't package their eggs properly that's all. Next year I intend to purchase eggs and if I buy eggs from Greenfire farms for $75 a doz I expect them to be good. Sometimes the problem is in the details and those are being left out. Some have said eggs are crushed or broken. As far as I'm concerned these eggs were not packaged properly.

the cups can also be tape in place, so they dont move. the air space on the sides with peanut, takes most of the hits. Need to move a little. if this area is pack to tight, the hits would travel to the center area.

Just ship some to Bluesilver(BYC member, feedback all received intact).

This is only part of the shipping of eggs, eggs must be store, large end up, in cool area, i never ship eggs older than 2 days, unless I throw the older eggs in free.

This way packing also should keep the large end up during shipping(as long as the box is not upside down)

Still you will not get the same hatch as with non shipped eggs.

So guess some you ship are broken, right. Repeat mine are not, in 3 yrs, and they received boxes with holes in the sides, eggs still not broke.

Rancher Hicks, You are making 'statements' that simply aren't true.
Bubblewrap doesn't smother eggs in transit.
The eggs may breathe, but being bubblewrapped doesn't cause them any harm.

Are you joking?
I usually send 12+ in an 11" x 6" x 8" box (FRB1, inside-out or right-side out). 2 layers of 9 fit nicely with room for extra cushioning all around and between layers.
The fact that the eggs arrive intact, with intact air cells, and (with proper incubation) GROW, is enough for me not to change packing / wrapping.
I've no problem with anyone that has found a way to get eggs in hatchable condition from here to there.
The fact is, my way is the only way I know for certain that works for me.

The germinal discs on the others looked like they started and quit right away, likely shipping damage from PO handling.
