I hate bubble wrap

Quote:
I ship with only small bubble wrap, and pack tightly directly to the sides, top, and bottom. The secret to sucess in shipping eggs is how you hold your mouth when packing.

So guess some you ship are broken, right. Repeat mine are not, in 3 yrs, and they received boxes with holes in the sides, eggs still not broke.

No. I usually put 40 in an 81/2"X11" Flat Rate box.

I'm new at shipping eggs & was very interested in this post but it seems to have turned into a argument of I'm right & you are wrong. It's no longer as helpful as it was at the start. I still want to thank the OP for starting it.

No way did I want to get in a argument!!! All i was trying to do was share info that has work so great for me.

I know other ways work also, this way was the best for me, just letting other know, thats How I can Guarantee them. Very few shipper of eggs will do thats.

I am done with this thread, and with keep this info to myself.

I don't see any "my way is better than your way", more, "this is how I do it and it works", and some "almost all of you are killing the eggs with the way you are shipping" (none of these are direct quotes..lol)

I want to see where people say this is what I do, this is how many I send to here & here, & this is how many get broken & how many hatch.

I sent out my first box of 12 & when I found out one was broke without a mark on the box it bothered me.

That is why I keep such a close eye on this thread.

I have been lucky to purchase from geareduplyn twice and no broken eggs, the box weighs a ton and is VERY well packed, an art form really.

I truly believe that the method of shipping eggs is the responsibility of the sender. If the sender does not care if the eggs get to thier destination, they will ship them as cheap as possible. I, personally send my eggs packed as if I was sending my own kids in a box. Ask user name fudgie about how many eggs were cracked or broken out of nine dozen shipped by me. I found a great shipping method that works for me and I'm sticking to it. I can't hardly improve on 100% eggs recieved.
