I hate compass bank(rant)

its been a rotten day... I use another bank... hubby uses compass... hubbys check was suposed to get deposited in my acount.. his work deposited it in his bank...not a problem... I checked my acount to see if it was deposited in my account using his banks atm(my banks atm was out of service for a short while) ... compasses atm caused me to have an overdraft fee.. i accidently pushed get money instead of balance... i tired several times to cancel it... and it wouild not clear off the machine... i waited 2 minutes for it to clear off the machine on its own and it wouldn't... I had to take $200 dollars out to get it to clear the screen(or wait two hours for the bank to open so noone could get money out of my account... I went to my bank to deposit the money back in and talk to someont... they say since i took care of it the same day i may not get the charge I will find out tomorrow if i get charged... she told me to go to compass bank because it was there fault because it was there machine... so back to compass bank and they said it was my banks fault and I had to go back to my bank... and they were rude to me... I am on my hubbys account but they always give me trouble when I need to get money out they say I am not on his account) I have been on it for 18 years...I am also on my daughters account there too... if I don't use the bank we open the accounts at they give me problems...
I am sorry I just needed to rant... does anyone else use them and have problems

Geez. I had that problem once, we wanted to cash a check made out to DH (we own our business together) he endorsed it, I endorsed it, they said "you're not on the account" What? I write all the checks out! My name is on there! Finally it got all straightened out, but geez.

Hope they come through for you.

We deal with a small town bank now, no big guys for us. Is compass a big bank out thataways? Never heard of it.

its a texas based bank that bought out our old bank which we used for 18 years ... they are bad about not posting your deposits for two days(did that to my daughter and she thought the money was in her account and used her debit card for several amall purchases and chard her fees for the money not being there -she had bounce forgiveness so her dad went up there and jumped there buts about it and she was going to close her account so they gave her the fees back) ... I have read alot of complaints on this bank... thats why we had hubbys payroll check switched to my account-it was suposed to be deposited in my account this week but ended up in hubbys account... his work is trying to figure out what happened... the only reason we are keeping his account open is he gets his dads teachers retirement(his dad died and left it to him) and if we try to change it it can be a couple of months where we won't get it(we pay most of our bills with it)...I really love my bank... nobody is rude there and I never have a problem with them...

its a teachers retirement... his dad put him as beneficery(sp?) ...its not social security... and not his wife because they were getting a divorce...he could have gotten a lump sum or monthly payments for the rest of his(hubbys) life... his wife got everythiing else... the house(even though she moved out several years before) ... she was mad because hubby wouldn't give her the money now she has nothing to do with our kids...I believe it was set up when hubby was a minor after his parents divorced... I know his new wife kept nagging him to change it but he didn't... my hubby is an only child... there was some reason he didn't want his wife to get it... he got sick and put in the hospital for testing found out he had cancer and died 2 weeks later
