I HATE our PO!!!

I solved this problem by opening a PO box at a small PO that does not do any deliveries. I believe it only cost $30 per year, and any package I do not want delivered I have it shipped to the PO Box. You will also find smaller PO's much friendlier.

Good for you!

Had a new guy start in our PO and of course it has to be during my broken eggs situation and I was nice to my post master, but still angry.
well this new guy would get this attitude every time I came in. I got him one day shipping out a couple of care packages for my adopted soldier. He asked where they were going told him i had no idea. Asked how long i had known my soldier told him I just adopted him.
he had a real nice attitude next time i went in, he also has a ton of military tattoos on his arms.

We used to have a really bad PO for our area. You would go in there and 30 people would be in line and the workers would be moving in slow motion and had an attitude.

A few weeks ago they had to call the cops because somebody in line got so frustrated they started yelling and berating the PO workers behind the desk. I was there to pick up a package at the quick service window (an oxymoron, by the way) and the manager came out brcause the stamp machine was down. I spoke to him about the state of affairs at his PO and said that he has to know thaings are bad because of the frustration level of everybody that comes in there and that I have never had to wait as long at other post offices as I did at this one.

We ended up having a gloves off loud heart to heart in the lobby, but at least they didn't call the cops.

About 3-4 weeks after that I noticed a definite improvement in the level of service there. People were actually moving faster and trying to br friendly, at least. There haven't been lines hanging out the doors. I'm not taking credit for the slight improvment, but something happened.

Never ever tolerate a rude postal worker. Some of them get the idea that they are Godlike but in the end they're "civil servants". Their jobs exist for one reason only and that is to serve us.

Luckily the higher ups take complaints seriously because a lot of them realize where they fit in to the grand scheme of things. The underlings don't always get it.

It's very sad to hear all the problems so many people are having with their Post Offices. I'd just like to say we have great people in our local post office. It's a small town, and I've never had a bad experience. Everyone is always polite and helpful.

Our first ever chick delivery came yesterday. They called and told us they were there. I'd said we would be right there and they said they would be out in the front. When we arrived, we could hear them chirping. Several workers came over to look when we opened the package. It was a good experience. Here are pictures I took at the Post Office:
