I hate saying goodbye

Its sunday morning and iv just burried my long time companion ,my 18yr old cat went down hill this week and this morning i knew she was suffering so i had to bring her to the out of hrs vet and let her go ,i held her and she purred till the end , i have 3 others but none like her ,whenever a new dog or foster came in ..mostly pitys and staffs she would go sraight up to them and lash out to let them know whos the boss ,none of my others do this ,she was such a brave loyal cat just wanted to be beside me 24/7, boy has she left a void .

She did have a great life ,when i took her in she was pregnant and had 2 kittens that she outlived plus 2 dogs ,my next oldest is about 15 and he had to be dropper fed he was so tiny ,you just dont feel the yrs passing ,i usualy have someone to do the hardest bit and thats burieing but theres no one here so i had to do it myself ,i always bring them home ,i think no matter how hard it is we owe it to them to hold them till the end , i posted here because only other animal loveres will understand the loss you feel ,others would think ..whats the fuss,its only a cat .
