I Hate Silkies - Proof They Are Evil - GRAPHIC PICS ADDED

I dont agree at all.Of course there are always some mean chickens no matter how friendly the breeds reputation, but my silkies are great. Even as chicks they were friendly, even though they were a little shy. I think their appearance is adorable too. They are the poodles of the chicken world.They are the most friendly little birds I've met.The pictures were pretty scary though.

My silkies are murderous my one broody hen killed her silkie baby then a fox killed her. :/ i was gonna process her.

Ha, I was there when this post got posted. I never believed they were evil till I got some. Yes they are evil. All you have to do is look one in the eye and you are attached to them. That's what the "Evil" meant way back when. You don't care for them then one looks you in the eye and the love starts!

I have a question though - as a newbie to chickens - I have lots...but I was told that silkies make great setters...and I was considering getting some...are they really mean?  Or would my children be able to play with them the way they do my hens and roasters?

silkies aren't mean. I've bought and hatched so many- I've had many breeds and their roosters are by far the friendliest. Some are flighty but most are docile and cuddly. They're great mothers and very broody
