I have 4 RIRs and am SO WORRIED that one (or more) of them are going to turn into roo's. I don't WANT roo's, not even one. I hate this "98%" thing, why do chickens have to be so difficult

I know what you mean. The waiting is awful

Right now we have five black copper maran mix chicks and then others we got from the feed store. The feed store batch is supposed to be all pullets but you never know until they're older

It really is quite ridiculous...what other market can say "Well, this is what you purchased, but if it turns out to be something else, um....sorry."

"98%" ???

Most hatcheries advertise their sexing accuracy at 90%. I have found that 90% is pretty close to the results I have had over the last 2 years.
