I always get a big mix of colors from mine, I have way too many!!

I saw you say that you normally feed the eggs to the dogs, why don't you feed them to the buttons? The calcium in the shells and the protein in the eggs would do them good

Looks like I got a 50% hatch rate with my home-made incubator.
Set 10 eggs and 5 hatched so far.

Not bad really...
the chicks are adorable and cute as buttons.

Number 6 is hatching as I am typing this...

I ended up with a 60% hatch rate using a home-made incubator.

6 0f 10 eggs hatched... the other 4 had no development ( I cracked them to check )
