I have 2 questions.

Number one: I habe never had peafowl. So I was wondering what are the pros and cons?
Number 2: Whats the best place to get peafowl chicks from?

I do not own peafowl. I haven't ever, I do have second (third?) hand experience from my friend who had them. She had gotten a pair for their 4 acre home, after acclimating them for a few months to their very large coop and run when they let them out to free range the female ran away and never came back. The male never returned to the coop or run but did stay on and near the property (neighbor didn't like it though) I'm not sure if it was something on her part as she wasn't the best animal owner but I have heard they can be flighty. Peafowl are Really Loud, make sure your neighbors are okay with the noise, some of the calls kinda sound like screams. She had also told me the reason she got adults was that peachicks can have a high morality rate but take that with a grain of salt cause, again I have never had them :'( I have met a few other peafowl besides hers, and I'll just say be ready for the noise! There is a lot of information about peafowl in the sticky tab on taking care and owning them, I would suggest reading it for a lot of information on them. Here are some basic facts about them.
they require a higher protein diet than chickens (so game bird feed is what is recommended)
They are louder during the mating season than the rest of the year.
They can get sick easier than some other bird types so just be ready for that.
they can fly but prefer to be on the ground Foraging for food.
they do need some space, if enclosed 100 sq foot per a bird is what I read most often but more is better imo.
they are social animals and do best with two or more.
As adult birds they eat what they can fit in their mouth, your plants, mice, bugs etc
They are gorgeous birds and I always enjoy watching them play.
they don’t lay eggs year round like chickens.

As for buying them there is a directory for breeders some where on the form illl see if I can find it or you could try craigslist. I know some will ship peafowl/peachicks if they aren’t close to you like kskingbee or legs peafowl
