I have no idea what time of year they slow down in laying.

Mine have started slowing down in the last week or so.....and shedding feathers.

I think it depends how old the hens are. When mine were young they quit laying in October but now they are almost seven years old. Last year they quite laying in July and August and like clock work she just quit last week.
