I have a BULLY in my flock.

I have seperated and treated the two that have been pecked a lot. But it seems to me that my head hen is a bit of a bully. Any suggestions?

I would separate the bully! Keep her separate for a week or so, then when you put her back in she will be knocked down a peg or two. The only other option is to rehome her

But seriously, I'd put the bully in "jail" for a while. That should do the trick.

I always think of it being humiliating for the one in "jail" so they quit being a butthead so the other chickens will quit making fun of them.

I think I found my problem!! The red light is not very red......and the one chicken got pooped on, sticking her feathers together exposing skin. Peck away! SO, I seperated the two pecked ladies, changed bulbs, and everyone is looking good! Now I have 5 newbies coming today. What bin do I put them in? Pecked? or bully?
