Wow. I mean, he looks like he could take on my 17 1/2 week old Cochin roos.

Part of me wants to hug that bird. The other wants to eat it.

Give it a shot and keep him. If he slows down you may have to use drastic measures.
With your HIGH ENERGY flock I think he'll do well.

What about the rooster aspect? He sure looks like a rooster to me.

Please keep us posted and good luck.

Haha, he sure is clean enough to hug! Yeah, with high energy birds, it should keep him on his feet.

One way to make a flighty bird calmer... raise it alone with a bunch of Cornish x's!

Boy.. a mean joke on a broody would be to give her a few cornish x chicks!

I found a chicken that fell off the Tyson truck almost a year ago on the side of the road. Let me tell you (and I have nothing against eating a fat juicy chicken) that he has turned out to be my favorite of all! He is huge, but the most personable guy ever! He always runs out to meet me and follows me wherever I go (a can always hear his rather clutzy flopping steps behind me - thus he has been named Bam Bam). He responds vocally when I talk to him - it is actually entertaining. I don't know how long he will live and am surprized he has gotten this far. He gets a restricted diet which appears to be hard for the poor guy since he is always famished. Otherwise, he seems perfectly healthy and happy:).
