Hi all.
As mentione above,I have 4 scovies that are about 8wks old,the smallest one has a clacky wheeze and opens its mouth when breathing,im wondering what it could be.
All the other ducks are fine and growing alot faster than this small guy.
Is there anything I can do to help him/her out?
Thanks alot.

I really don't know, but you might want to mention how long since you first noticed the problem, how is he eating, drinking, compared to the others, and what is his energy level like. I just wanted to say that if you have access to a vet who is willing to see ducks, or who could even give you a reference to someone who will, now might be the time to call. I hope it clears up and is fine. Please post and give an update as he goes along.

Some other general information I just thought of:

What type of food is he eating
Do you supplement vitamins
Did he have access to any toxins

Hi guys.
Ok,he has had the problem for a week or so.
he eats fine, drinks fine,he is as active as the others are.
They are being fed chick starter and the odd scraps of veges, cooked.
They have been together the whole time ive had them,so I dont think they have been around any toxins,as none of the others show any similar symptoms.
he/she is just so much smaller than the others.
Thanks for all your help guys.
As for the vet,I dont have enough money,we just spent $160 odd dollars on a rabbit we got for free that somehow ruptured its eye,and needed it removed,so money is tight at the moment.

Why do they always get sick when we are strapped?

LOL I've been lucky and haven't had many problems as of yet, but I'll see if I can't find anything and get back to you in the morning (my time

) if no one else with more experience chimes in. Probably a silly question, but do they have water available while they are eating?
