I have a duck that has a sniffle and mucous coming from its nostrills

the only thing is,i wouldnt have the foggiest idea as to what product to buy?
Im in new zealand and the only thing ive seen with electrolytes in it is powerade,lol.

hmm. idk about there, but i know here they sell packets of electrolytes at the feed stores here. you should check to see when you can.

I've had to use Power Ade/Gater Ade type products for poultry before in a pinch. Just make sure that it doesn't contain caffiene and I would dillute it by half until you can get something better. I haven't had time to look much, I have a sick goat that I'm tending. I'm trying to think of what you could use for vitamins...Can you get infant or toddler vitamins? Dilutted down the liquid ones work good.

If you need electrolytes go to the baby section in a store and get Pedialyte or an off bran name. Hopefully it would be low in sodium. Do not get it flavored just plain. I wouldn't really go with the powerade/Gadorade because of the amount of sodium it contains. It would really have to be watered down a lot.

Hi guys.

The feed was bought from a store that all the farmers buy from around here,i used it for my meaties and they were fine,on inspection of the feed it looks to be A OK.
The little guy is doing alot better,although with the 80mm an hour of rain we are having I'll have to keep an eye on them all.
I tried to put all my 7 meaties,8 red shavers (hens) scovies (4) into the main coop where my 4 hens and one male duck are,do you think they would settle and go to sleep???
Not a chance,the ducks basically tried to get under all the hens which were sitting in a corner exposed to the elements,looked a pathetic sight,so i had to seperate them all again into their own cages/runs.
Anyways,ill get some meds for them today,and some new hay,just to be sure.
