here are some more pics i hope they help a bit. even if she isnt a true standard i till think its cool on how HUGE she is!

she lost the tip of one toe due to a dog attack last year lol

i realize that hatchery birds arent always perfect.... but still for a silkie ( that has the feathering and such ) to be THIS big... its unusuall is it not?


i realize that there might be a market for these like the aisian markets and such. idk. just trying to learn and such. im interested in possibly producing some birds for the asian market and possibly trying for other colors. i know that this hen weighs a lot more than my other silkies that i have ... i need to weigh her!

As a chick was she the same itty bitty size as the other bantam silkies?

right now? just her i had 5 but i sold them when i realized they were so big. i have ordered 40 more that will be here on tuesday. my feedstore ordered them from the same place that the ones i got last year... all i can say is the peopl who bought the others from me got one HECK of a deal.... 8 bucks a bird... GAH

i thought they were crap! lol i was sooo mad and i had wanted SQ bantam silkies.... so i was stupid and sold em! believe me im not happy about it lol.

i am hoping the chicks that come on tuesday grow like Evyle and her siblings did!! i wouldnt mind having these HUGE silkies!
