Very good! Also, I just put 9 of her eggs in another incubator. Don’t expect them all to hatch since it took 9 days to collect that many while waiting on my last incubator to finish. But we get some more eagle babies

I only had four eggs that I put in as soon As she started laying. 2 of 4 hatched

Pullet eggs have lower rate of hatch.

One of these is a suspected eagle egg. We weren’t 100% so We tagged it anyway. But 2 of these are definitely eagles. The whitest one was the very first eagle egg. Kinda seems rooster looking to me. He/she walked really tall and bossy like. But maybe that’s silly lol

They all look alike, so they all probably are from her.

I think I have a chicken problem…. Chicken math we are officially up to 150 or so chickens.

I just got 23 French Black Copper Marans
And 50 Cornish cross meat birds on top of our first original flock of 20. plus I have 58 hatched out of my barnyard mix incubator then I have eagles eggs running right now in an incubator so that’s another 10-12 chickens if I get even a 50% hatch rate out of that incubator.

And we finally upgraded their cardboard box brooders to something much more sturdier and lined with plastic on the bottom.

We will be selling our barnyard mixed ones but eagles project eggs will be here for as long as I can tell if they will look like her or not

and the Cornish cross will be here for next 8-10 weeks before we harvest them and they go into the freezer.

French black copper marans will be a separate private flock to sell eggs and hatching eggs from next year.
