That's right. A pip!! Early on, we resigned ourselves to NOT hope for or expect any results from our first hatch. Our very well packed eggs came very battered with 6 broken and 1 cracked out of 15, and although we spent days regulating our still air LG 9200 bator, we've had some wild temp spikes and drops-- so we figured we'd probably just let it be, and probably be throwing away a carton of 8 unhatched eggs about Memorial day. We have candled and seen three eggs that we thought were "possibles"-- still, not getting our hopes up too high.. Even so, we worked diligently to control the temps ( by covering the bator, or pulling the vent plugs instead of adjusting the thermostat, since we had already spent days getting it to 99.5 wiggler temp- so we let it be), and on day 18 set the eggs up in a carton and raised the humidity) And there it is-- on day 20 -- the "clear as day" pip, right on the perfect spot on the egg!! NOW I know what gets you all so excited and addicted.. Even if it doesn't hatch, I KNOW now that we did the best we could and have gotten at least one peep this far, so even with a set of doubtful circumstances, we've got the knowledge we need to pull a hatch through!! The down side.... I have to leave for work in 30 minutes for a 4 hour workshop, followed by an 8 hour work shift!!!!!! Hubby will be home, and I might have an hour to run home in between, but I'm not going to be paying much attention to the workshop, that's for sure!!!!! Wish us luck!!!!
