I have a Quail!!

My first quail just hatched and is peeping up a storm. It's soooo little.

How long can it stay in the bator before I move it to the brooder? I know quail have to be move to food and water quicker then chickens.

I didn't know that they had to be moved quicker. I would like to know the answer to that as well.

Awww Congrats!!!

I always try to move mine the next day... leaving them in for 24 hours usually most are done hatching by then... very rarely do I get any more to hatch 24 hours after the first one hatched...

Once I let them stay in for a day and a half before I offered food and water...

Every thing I've read stated they were like chickens and could go a couple of days with out food or water but I usually only like to wait a day...
