If you find you are going through a lot of feed then you might want to separate your Cornish Xs from the rest of your flock. Ration their food and provide them an area to forage in. If you don't do this you will continue to have high feed bills and will likely wind up with obese Cornish crosses.

Please don't take offense at people telling you to process your birds. I think they are just trying to save you from sinking a lot of feed dollars into these birds yet only getting moderate egg production.
 
Oh I didn't take offense. We would have no trouble eating them, just don't want the hassle of plucking them. :) And they are separated..when we realized they were hogs and were bullying the smaller ones we separated them.
